Voor de motor werd vooral een single grade olie geadviseerd met een viscositeit van SAE 20 of 30. Voor de versnellingsbak SAE 40 motorolie. Op het filmpje kun je mooi zien hoe de achterkant verschilt. Deze Austin is al lang in de club, hij was ooit van een van de gangmakers in de club. De aantallen van de Cambridge en opvolgers staan niet in onderstaand schema. Het totaal aantal chassisnummers tot 1947 is 282764. Een verkeerde bandenspanning veroorzaakt extra slijtage en een slecht weggedrag. Olie, benzine en vuil zijn schadelijk voor rubber en moeten zo snel mogelijk worden verwijderd.
